The City of New London is proud to announce the commencement of its holiday season with a calendar of events celebrating the diverse array of faiths and holidays in New London’s culture.

November 25th – Christmas Tree Lighting at the Parade Plaza- 5pm- 6pm

Performances by:

5:00 – 5:15 – The Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club Latino Children Choir.

5:20 – 5:30 pm- Krystalia Arroyo performing

Santa tell me – Ariana grande, All I want for Christmas is you- Mariah Carey and Mistletoe- Justin Bieber

5:30 – 5:45 pm – Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive in a holiday light parade down Bank Street by the NLC Jeep Club.

5:45 – 5:50 – Dance Performance by The New London Visual & Performing Arts Magnet School Dance Program

5:50 – 5:55   – Shoreline Ringers bell choir

5:50 – 6:00   – The Christmas Tree lighting by Santa and Mrs. Claus

6:00 pm – Krystalia Arroyo- Joy to the World

Meet and Greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus at 61 Banks Street after the Tree Lighting

Start your holiday shopping with locally-owned businesses. Stop by the Women’s Business Development Council at 61 Bank Street between 4pm and 8pm to enjoy a holiday pop-up shop of women-owned businesses and WBDC clients. Bring your family for the opportunity to meet Santa (after the tree lighting) where the kids can create a holiday craft, enjoy a holiday sweet and see the model train display.

November 10th“Thames River Gallery is hosting a special Christmas event “HOLIDAY MARKET” on Saturday Dec 10 11:00-4:00 offering unique one off very affordable pieces of art.  Live Christmas music and jazz with Lisa Marien.  Eggnog, Christmas cookies and champagne being served.” The Holiday Market will run through Dec 24th.

November 18thOpening Reception Friday, at 7pm

Hygienic’s Annual Holiday Show, “Art=Gift” is back! This year’s show features handcrafted, affordable art by local and regional artists

November 26th – Small Business Saturday – Stroll New London to get a jump on your holiday shopping and have lunch while getting your Downtown New London Holiday Passbook stamped.

December 18th- Lighting of the Menorah- Parade Plaza

December 26th – Jan 1st – Kwanzaa

January 8th  – Three Kings Celebration –Three Kings Celebration – A new toy (unwrapped) Drive Through collection is scheduled in our location that will be open to accept new toys or a check as a contribution on: Saturday, December 10 and 17 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Also, on Wednesday, December 28, from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Toys will be distribution on Three Kings Day Sunday, January 8, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm. at 60 Jay Street, New London.  Sponsored by ADNL / Asociación de Dominicanos de New London
