New London Pride Returns to Ocean Beach Park

After a scaled back New London Pride Festival in 2020 due to the global pandemic, OutCT’s Annual New London Pride at the Beach is back with a weeklong celebration of LGBTQIA+ pride in 2021.

New London Pride at the Beach will take place on Saturday August 21^st at Ocean Beach Park. The festival begins at noon and will include live bands, drag performances, free HIV testing, vendors, resource booths, a dance party for our LGBTQ youth, a “diva” center and more.

Collaborating with local businesses in Southeastern, CT, this event celebrates our differences while showing support of LGBTQIA+ awareness and the mission of OutCT, which is “building a community through educational, cultural, and social programming that promotes acceptance, tolerance and understanding of all sexual orientations and gender identities.”

The event is free and open to the public. The New London Pride Festival will be hosted by singer songwriter, Carrie Ashton.

In addition to the Pride Festival, New London Pride week will include a virtual art show, sponsored by the La Grua Center, a special Pride addition of OutCT’s YouTube show “Who’s in the neighborhood”, Karaoke at Dockside, and a fundraising night at Flanders Fish Market & Restaurant. New London Pride is a county wide celebration of the contributions of LGBTQ+ people to the community at large.
